error Class "HTML" not found - Laravel 5.4
Solution 1
I found my own answer: https://laracasts.com/discuss/channels/laravel/laravelcollectivehtml-in-laravel-53?page=1
$ php artisan config:cache
$ php artisan config:clear
The suggestion that this was due to an installation issue was wrong. I also changed
"laravelcollective/html": "5.4" to "laravelcollective/html": "5.4.*"
Thanks!
Solution 2
There is no more illuminate/html
for laravel 5.* (5.0 to 5.5 up) so in order to use code like {!!Html::style('css/font-awesome.min.css')!!} you must use laravelcollective/html
In your composer file
composer.json
which is in th root folder of your project, in the require section add"laravelcollective/html": "5.2.*"
depending of the version of your laravel so if you are using laravel 5.4 it should be"laravelcollective/html": "5.4.*"
your require section shoud look like"require": { "php": ">=5.6.4", "laravel/framework": "5.4.*", "laravel/tinker": "~1.0", "laravelcollective/html": "5.4.*" },
update your laravel using
composer update
in your command prompt-
then on the file
config/app.php
addCollective\Html\HtmlServiceProvider::class
in the provider array and'Form' => Collective\Html\FormFacade::class, 'HTML' => Collective\Html\HtmlFacade::class,
in aliases array it should look like `'providers' => [/* * Laravel Framework Service Providers... */ Illuminate\Auth\AuthServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Broadcasting\BroadcastServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Bus\BusServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Cache\CacheServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Foundation\Providers\ConsoleSupportServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Cookie\CookieServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Database\DatabaseServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Encryption\EncryptionServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Filesystem\FilesystemServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Foundation\Providers\FoundationServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Hashing\HashServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Mail\MailServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Notifications\NotificationServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Pagination\PaginationServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Pipeline\PipelineServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Queue\QueueServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Redis\RedisServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Auth\Passwords\PasswordResetServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Session\SessionServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Translation\TranslationServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\Validation\ValidationServiceProvider::class, Illuminate\View\ViewServiceProvider::class, // what I just add Collective\Html\HtmlServiceProvider::class, /* * Package Service Providers... */ Laravel\Tinker\TinkerServiceProvider::class, /* * Application Service Providers... */ App\Providers\AppServiceProvider::class, App\Providers\AuthServiceProvider::class, // App\Providers\BroadcastServiceProvider::class, App\Providers\EventServiceProvider::class, App\Providers\RouteServiceProvider::class,
],`
` 'aliases' => [

//what I just add
'Form' => Collective\Html\FormFacade::class,
'Html' => Collective\Html\HtmlFacade::class,
],`
Everything should work Perfectly now...
Solution 3
Be careful as well, the alias you are instructed to include in your config/app.php is 'Html', entering 'HTML' will not work, you can either change the alias to 'HTML' or start using it as Html::

I am getting the following error:
Class 'HTML' not found (View: C:\WORK\Software\XamppOne\htdocs\APOSTXUI\ContractorsClubField\resources\views\includes_header.blade.php) (View: C:\WORK\Software\XamppOne\htdocs\APOSTXUI\ContractorsClubField\resources\views\includes_header.blade.php)
I have seen answers for 51., 5.2 and 5.3 - but - I have not seen anything for 5.4.
This is what I got when I did the update:
PS C:\WORK\Software\XamppOne\htdocs\APOSTXUI\ContractorsClubField> composer update Loading composer repositories with package information Updating dependencies (including require-dev) Package operations: 0 installs, 1 update, 0 removals - Updating laravelcollective/html (v5.4.8 => v5.4): Downloading (100%) Writing lock file Generating autoload files > Illuminate\Foundation\ComposerScripts::postUpdate > php artisan optimize Generating optimized class loader The compiled services file has been removed.
I did the following:
composer.json
"require": { "php": ">=5.6.4", "laravel/framework": "5.4.*", "laravel/tinker": "~1.0", "artisaninweb/laravel-soap": "0.3.*", "laravelcollective/html": "5.4" },
then I ran composer update
I put the following in app.php

Here is the snippet of code that is being ran
<li> <a href="{{ HTML::linkRoute('logout') }}"> <i class="icon-key"></i> Log Out </a> </li>
What am I doing wrong here?
