Adding a period after the numbering of the headings

- Click the arrow next to Numbering option
- Select
Define new number format
- Enter a dot next to the number, then click OK.

I already have a document with numbered headings. However there's no period after each heading numbering. How do I add that?

Philippe over 5 yearsThe number of the superior heading doesn't show up in the numbering anymore. I don't remember how I got it to work originally. All I remember is that it was also a massive pain.

option (it is next to theNumbering
option on the right). Select 1, 1.1, 1.1.1. Then click on` Numbering` option followed byChange level list
and select 1.1 (for heading 2) -
