apache in centos 7 doesn't start with mpm event

The cause is this:

Feb 25 05:48:19 hostname9727 httpd[20029]: [Sat Feb 25 05:48:19.831460 2017] [:crit] [pid 20029:tid 139667929794688] Apache is running a threaded MPM, but your PHP Module is not compiled to be threadsafe. You need to recompile PHP.

mod_php is rarely or never precompiled with thread-safety, so you can't use mpm_event and mod_php at the same time. mpm_event is a threaded mpm.

If you want to use event, as you really should, migrate your php configuration to use mod_proxy and mod_proxy_fcgi to reverse proxy to php-fpm server instead.

    Hi I've tried to switch from prefork to apache MPM event as followed:

     vim /etc/httpd/conf.modules.d/00-mpm.conf
    
    # Select the MPM module which should be used by uncommenting exactly

    systemctl status httpd.service and journalctl -xe had no relevant logs (no logs from the same date).

    @MrP it is kind of weird to use filesmatch with a pattern and then ProxyPassMatch inside it with another. Just go for ProxyPassMatch \.ph(p[2-6]?|tml)$ fcgi://127.0.0.1:9000/var/www/html/$1 instead and define directoryindex inside virtualhost or a specific directory if you need it in just one place or similar
