Connect PS Vita to Ubuntu?

I haven't tested it (yet!), but apparently there's an Open Source version of "Content Manager" that has been developed for connectivity with the PlayStation Vita: QCMA
Most of the users at that link claim it works for them, so I'm gonna test it out as soon as my PlayStation Vita is charged...

I have recently purchased a PS (Playstation) Vita. I want to add music and videos to the device, but I can not seem to get it to connect to Ubuntu. Apparently, you need a content manager available only to Mac and Windows.
Does anyone know how to connect a Vita to Ubuntu for file transfers?

karel over 10 yearsWindows Media Player 10 for Ubuntu has a Gold rating on the WineHQ Application Database, so it appears from your answer that the problem is that validation won't install. Does this mean that validation is somehow separate from the Windows Media Installation or are you referring to a feature of Windows Media Player that cannot be enabled if you have installed WMP using Wine?
