The vboxdrv kernel module is not loaded. Either there is no module available for the current kernel (4.13.0-26-generic) or it failed to load

Virtualbox 5.0.40 is not working with the new kernel (4.13.0-26), but the new version of VBox (5.2) works fine. Check out this question and the provided answer.

I installed Virtualbox 5.0 using DEB package, I completely installed it, then I created a virtual machine of Mac OS Sierra.

    Then I executed this command:

     VBoxManage modifyvm "MacOsSierra" --cpuidset 00000001 000106e5 00100800 0098e3fd bfebfbff

    It gives me this error:

The vboxdrv kernel module is not loaded. Either there is no module
available for the current kernel (4.13.0-26-generic) or it failed to
load. Please recompile the kernel module and install it by

           sudo /sbin/rcvboxdrv setup

So as the error says, I executed the suggested command:

     sudo /sbin/rcvboxdrv setup

And it gives me this error:

    Stopping VirtualBox kernel modules ...done.
Uninstalling old VirtualBox DKMS kernel modules ...done.
Trying to register the VirtualBox kernel modules using DKMSERROR:

Do you have the linux-headers-generic or more specifically linux-headers-4.13.0-26-generic package installed? If yes, then most probably the VirtualBox is not compatible with the linux-kernel installed.
