Type The prefix "mvc" for element "mvc:annotation-driven" is not bound

Question

I have googled as much as I could ... all seems right with this xml, but I am still getting the error. Please help.

Solution

mvc is default namespace in your xml xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc" You already enabledspring mvc annotations by line <annotation-driven />

The last line <mvc:annotation-driven/> is causing the issue, as there is no namespoace prefix mvc in your xml, as its the default one. As you already declared anotation-driven above no need for this line. Removing <mvc:annotation-driven/> from your xml should resolve your error
