Question

Solution

I had similar error and I added the chekReleaseBuilds false to the gradle file as indicated in the following:

lintOptions {
disable 'InvalidPackage'
checkReleaseBuilds false //added this line to the build.gradle under the 
/android/app/build.gradle 
}

This worked.
