How to change the firmware of my NETGEAR WGT624 v2 to DD-WRT

406

It doesn't look like DD-WRT works for this model.

As stated in the above comment:

WIP = Work In Progress. Basically, it's not supported, but they're working on it

Digging deeper, it looks like work on it has slowed/halted, judging by the 2 year old thread on their forum: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=33975.

DD-WRT just links you to the OpenWRT WGT624 site where some fellow has done some experimentation with his, perhaps soldering on a JTAG port.

I'm afraid you're stuck with the stock firmware.

In Facebook Wall, if you add a href link or URL of the website, Facebook will grab the images and description of that particular link and show it on the post.

How to implement this in Jomsocial?

At least tell how to implement using the normal PHP and Javascript or Jquery.

so you posted a url to server right? now server will extract the whole document i.e view source. Then you can extract all the imag tags out of it and send back as a ajax response .

Also you need server intervention since due to cross domain restriction it can not be done only via jQuery or javascript.

np, although I would pass that to a php script for a more in-depth check.
