Solution 2

You could use convert.exe:

> CONVERT driveletter: /FS:NTFS

where driveletter is the driveletter of your flash drive of course.

I've been searching on StackOverflow and already found this question and this question, but it didn't offer me a solution.

I'm learning ASP.NET and am creating a web page with web parts in it. You should be able to move these around when in Edit mode. In IE this works fine, in Google Chrome (version 15) I am unable to do this.

The answer on this question states that the problem only occurs when using the ASP.NET Development Server. So, I installed IIS Express 7.5 and configured my project to use IIS Express.

That didn't help much. Instead, now I am even unable to close or minimize the web parts on my site or go into edit mode. This behavior even occurs in IE!

Am I doing something wrong here? I know there are more modern ways to get this to work, but as I am trying to implement the exercises that are in my 70-515 exam book, I'd like to get things working using plain web parts.

Update The reason I couldn't do anything with the web parts when using IIS Express is that IIS Express made me an anonymous user, while you must be authenticated in order to modify the web parts. This blog post helped me to solve it. However, my original problem still isn't solved. In Google Chrome, it doesn't make a difference if I use ASP.NET Development server or IIS Express. In both cases, drag and drop doesn't work.

I suppose the answer mentioned earlier (which stated the problem only occurs using ASP.NET Development Server) is incorrect. According to this Microsoft Connect entry, it doesn't work and won't be fixed either.

One advantage of this method is that you don't need to format the drive. The data can stay on it.
