How to run docker inside chroot

6,557

You failed to start docker because of that, when running in chroot, the system isn't fully booted. The process that manages services isn't running, so systemctl command ignores your start requests.

I would recommend that you start docker daemon directly: dockerd [arguments]. You can also use a process manager like supervisord.

I have debian stretch installed in arm64 android phone in chrooted environment. I have installed docker-ce following these steps from here.

On starting docker :: systemctl start docker

returns this error :: Running in chroot, ignoring request.

Checking using service docker status shows [FAIL] Docker is not running ... failed!

If I run using dockerd, it shows this error ::

No, I am not using any app. I have rooted phone. I am running debian using a script ( which uses chroot ) that I run on android terminal app as root.
