When I boot my Virtual Machine in Oracle Virtualbox it freezes. I am unable to move the mouse, audio begins looping.
I will include my system log to see if anyone can make sense of this. Even pointing in the right direction would be appreciated.
(literally was working yesterday. and now absolutely nothing.)

Charles Green over 6 yearsThe problem with remaining on the 4.10 kernel, is that the 4.13 kernel contains the fix for the Meltdown bug - you could regress to the 4.4 kernel, which also contains the patch.

therefriedbean over 6 yearsI tried following the Oracle official tutorial on a re-install with the new kernel. (I am a bit concerned about the security of reverting.) This is the message I'm receiving when I try to use the VM I imported from the repository virtual box. RTR3InitEx failed with rc=-1912 (rc=-1912) The VirtualBox kernel modules do not match this version of VirtualBox. The installation of VirtualBox was apparently not successful. Executing
