See question here: ===============> https://superuser.com/questions/218868/tweetdeck-adobe-air-on-ubuntu-10-10
Getting the issue:
sudo apt-get install Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these. The following packages have unmet dependencies: tweetdeckfast.fff259dc0ce2657847bbb4aff0e62062efc56543.1 : PreDepends: adobeair (>= 1.5.3.0) but it is not installable E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.

Drew over 13 yearsYou mean that you installed via the RPM instead of the deb?

dv3500ea over 13 yearsNo, they used the .bin file (which is an excecutable file that installs the application). It is generally recommended to use the package management system (Ubuntu Software Centre / apt-get / Synaptic / .deb files) instead because it is easier to uninstall/upgrade/reinstall that way.

Drew over 13 yearsThe problem is with the deb, it is doing dependencies on adobeair that Ubuntu package manager isn't correctly made aware of. Installing via the bin gets it installed, of course uninstall will be more difficult now.
